CONSULTA 10 Plus (Consulta + Tesi)
I came up with the first version of Consulta in the late 1980s. Since then, the program has undergone major changes and updates and has been completely reprogrammed to become what it is today.
The reason that prompted me to create this program was the absence of anything similar on the market, nothing that met my personal needs. So I decided to make it myself, taking on all the costs and work. Only after the first ten years some colleagues asked me to share this simple but very useful “little gem.”
Consulta was designed specifically for my own personal method of work, research, and study, based on the verbatim collection of what patients report to me. Even back then, any database allowed for simple yet useful searches: on words, text, concepts, and the sequence of what the patient reports. Obviously, many other data can be processed: such as the results of prescriptions, which remedies preceded and/or followed a certain other remedy, which pathologies, syndromes, keywords, repertory symptoms, other therapies in progress, laboratory tests, etc.
Consulta is a very simple program to use and, at the same time, extremely professional and powerful.
Consulta allows you to compile homeopathic medical records, leaving the homeopath complete freedom to work as they see fit, without any obligation to change their personal style of work, research, and study. All this with the added advantages offered by a computer programme: simply storing the data we consider useful.
With the first master courses in the early years of the new millennium, I added a module that was initially independent and then fully integrated with the patient database. Tesi is a program designed to collect information on the substances used to arrive at our remedies, applying the fundamentals of the Method of Complexity. Thanks to Tesi, you can define and collect specific information on the THEMES that we consider relevant for each remedy. Not only the word used to name the theme, but also a space to clarify what a single word cannot convey. We can add even more, such as the patient’s text that we find explanatory for that concept (theme), repertory symptoms, and phrases extracted from the literature that we find consistent with that theme. In addition, information from clinical cases, seminars, or other various notes that we find worthy of attention.
Tesi allows us to build a permanent study of our remedies, but also to collect what each of us considers important for each substance before it is translated into a homeopathic remedy.
CONSULTA HAS NEVER BEEN A COMMERCIAL PROGRAM. It was not created by a software house, but by a skilled programmer with whom I have been fortunate to collaborate for years, Paolo Barbolini. There is no sales or support network.
Consulta was not produced for profit: the minimal amount requested for its purchase has always been reinvested in its development.
Consulta 10 is available in versions for Mac and Windows and is always updated to work with the latest operating systems.
Consulta is a highly functional program that is extremely stable, simple, and easy to use: a project created by a homeopath for his daily work that has, over time, become a tool for sharing with the homeopathic community.

I have been using Consulta every day for almost 40 years, and I cannot imagine my practice and the results of my research without this valuable tool. From the beginning of my career to the present day, I have worked with different programs, updates, and other possible glitches … without ever losing any data, always interfacing with new work tools.
